So who is the IndyBBQGuru?
The IndyBBQGuru is a nickname for Chuck Penaflor. Born in Kokomo, IN, Chuck attended Kokomo Christian School for 1st Grade through 12th Grade then graduated from Purdue University in 2007 studying Building Construction Management.
Chuck resides in Indianapolis, IN and besides being passionate about BBQ and sharing his experience in it he has been working for Mattcon General Contractors, Inc. since graduating from Purdue University in their pre-construction division doing estimating, marketing, and business development. He has also been the lead youth pastor at MyChurch Indy since 2014.
Outside of BBQ, construction, and youth ministry, Chuck is an avid golfer, gun shooter, certified firearms instructor, movie watcher, traveler, hiker, fitness junkie, runner and other stuff.
